161 Kent Street

Millers Point

RM Watson have been engaged by the Owners of Strata Plan 77663 to replace all combustible ACP cladding previously installed across the façade of the high-end residential block located at 161 Kent Street, Millers Point.

The façade remedial project at 161 Kent Street is currently underway. Works to be completed across the duration of the project include the replacement of 2,000 sq.m of combustible cladding, a full repaint of the façade and isolated concrete repairs.

While the project was initially planned as a staged approach, at the request of the Principal, RM Watson revised the access methodology to access all areas of the building at once, reducing the programme by 3 months.

A combination of access systems have been implemented across the project to mitigate the risk of working on a site with three street frontages and to allow for sufficient access to all facades. Access systems in use include a mast climber and scaffold along the eastern facade, rope access and hoisting scaffold on the southern elevation (Gas Lane) and a combination of swing stage and scaffold access on the western elevation.

If you have a similar project you would like to discuss, please reach out to the RM Watson team here.
