RM Watson has been delivering remedial construction services at 477 Pitt Street continuously since 2014. Initially engaged to undertake make safe works and investigative fa├žade works associated with the deterioration of the facade, RM Watson has since undertake several projects including;

  • Upgrade of the buildings fire stair access to enable floor to floor access for tenants to reduce the use of the lifts and energy consumption. Works involved compliance upgrade of the stairs and balustrade, aesthetic improvements and installation of electronic fob access to each floor.
  • Ongoing facade inspections and make safe works to record and maintain the condition of the precast facade panels. Works involve full facade survey via rope access and the site BMU to inspect all areas of the precast and electronically record and report on the condition of the facade.
  • Full internal and external window upgrade, works involved external swing stage and rope access and coordinated internal access to occupied areas to enable resealing of all windows on site both internally and external.

The window upgrade project is currently underway and scheduled for completion shortly.
