Scope

RM Watson has been engaged once again by Cromwell Property Group under a Design & Construct arrangement to deliver the cladding replacement works at 475 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood. The RM Watson team are currently replacing 13,000m2 of combustible ACP cladding previously installed to the façade of the two commercial towers located in the heart of Chatswood.

RM Watson was initially engaged by Cromwell under and ECI arrangement to design a replacement façade cladding system that would address both the water ingress issues across the two commercial towers and remove any future safety risks associated with the presence of combustible cladding.

Specific works being carried out across the project include:

  • Removal and recycling of 13,000m2 of composite cladding, sarking and insulation across towers 1 & 2.
  • Design and fabrication of replacement solid 3mm thick aluminium panels and stiffeners.
  • Installation of 13,000m2 of solid aluminium cladding panels.
  • Installation of new smoke-seal flashings and cavity barriers across the two towers.

As is the case with all remedial projects delivered by RM Watson, the site has remained fully operational across the duration the works. RM Watson is working in close consultation with Cromwell to design an access system and staging plan that imposes minimal disruption to the valuable tenants of both towers.
